Easter
Well we have had a great Easter weekend. The snow and hail have not slowed us down!!
It was most exciting to welcome our new little nephew into the family. Mum and Dad were looking surprisingly chipper considering the fact that he is mostly nocturnal. I think we only saw him cry once and that was when he was hungry. I hear that he cries plenty in the night though!
Other than that we have finally planted some onions and potatoes, a bit late but they are in the ground. The kids had a fantastic time. There is so much that you take for granted as an adult. For instance, that potatoes do grow from, well, potatoes and onions grow from onions. The most useless patch of ground in the garden (no sun!) seems to have the best soil. It housed the compost heap and then the chickens last summer and so is now overflowing with worms and the soil is lovely and crumbly. We have planted the potatoes there and we will see if they do okay. Otherwise, it is going to be a case of ferrying soil across the garden.
Oh, we also managed to eat some chocolate! Did I mention my diet? Maybe tomorrow eh!
