Loving having Daddy home!
Stuart has spent the last few years working late and commuting long distances. He has finally found a job he LOVES and he is working from home a lot. Anyone with a husband that works from home knows that rather than them sitting watching TV all day they can tend to work longer hours. Not that people that commute don't work long hours but his every hour is work time. All that time he wasted in the car is now work time and we do sometimes have difficulty getting him away from his desk at the end of the day!
The HUGE upside is that he gets more work done AND we get to see more of him. He has his lunch with us which is not only cheaper but also more nutritious; I can use his car :-) and occasionally he can collect from preschool. Most of all he is here. Just in the house and with us. The kids mostly leave him alone and on the days that we are out and about, he has the place to himself!
Evie just loves being collected by Daddy. He lets her meander about and play on the way home and I don't have to stop all the other kids mid flow and get all the shoes and coats on to collect her. I like to think it is good for Daddy too!!
