  Much better day!  I was clearing out the kitchen cupboards and the kids were playing in the garden.  I have so much stuff in my food cupboards like flour and pasta etc.  I really don't want to move it all.  So here was a plan!  Get the children to decide on their own ingredients and make cakes etc.  They had a fantastic time breaking eggs and measuring ingredients.  They all decided on their own recipes and managed pretty well on their own. 

Evie was making Angel Delight.  She whisked it and put it into bowls.  Actually she was doing really well until she discovered that it tasted really nice. Things got a bit messy after that!  However, I had a spare packet in reserve for tea!

We ended up with a Golden Syrup Cake (Callum), fairy cakes (Ewan and Issy) and Jelly (Ewan) and a huge mess that took about half an hour to clear.  Evie had to have a ash and change her clothes!  We had fun though and surely it was maths/science?!
